With a background in production, events, buying and dressing, we established Period Electricals in 2021. With a mission to find, make and hire the widest and most interesting collection of electrical fittings from the UK and around the world. Our collection really got going during lock down, and since then has grown exponentially. As has our knowledge base.

We scour the country for pieces daily but have recently cast our net further afield. Salvage yards in Copenhagen, warehouses in East Germany, flea markets in Japan, yard sales in East Hollywood LA. Regular trips abroad now source more and more unique pieces.

We’ve also built an unrivalled library of reference materials to ensure that hires are accurate and authentic. Every piece is meticulously researched, dated, photographed and placed onto our database and booking system. We work collaboratively with clients to ensure believable and detailed sets – either hiring or in some cases travelling to set - designing and fitting the right pieces.
